You can set a keyboard to disable local control, and it will still send midi out. This takes it, nudges the note up if it’s not in the selected scale, and sends it back to the keysboard’s in. I know there’s an ableton for this but name something that does this in hardware. From this day on you will see someone shred keys and not know if they have this insidious performance enhancement corking their bat or not. Also note, we aren’t just transposing over the white keys, so you still try to play the scale right, and time things elegantly, for it to sound on-purpose.
